Meet the Maker

Hello, I am Janessa, the crochet artist and owner of Lositos. My crochet hobby began when I was 8 years old, learning the basics from my Lola (grandma). Back then it was a hobby to make accessories for my stuffed animals— I didn't follow any stitches or patterns, just pure imagination. Years later, after setting my crochet hook down for nearly two decades, I picked it back up on a whim. Following one video tutorial reignited my enthusiasm for the art, inspiring me to learn new stitches and patterns, and turn them into cozy, practical creations.

Hola, I'm Jose. Growing up in Mexico, piñatas and other handcrafted paper decorations were a familiar and joyful part of fiestas and holiday celebrations. Wanting to bring a touch of these traditions into our product line, I was inspired to learn how to craft traditional paper decorations — along with other three-dimensional paper designs.
